Give broken items a second life at the Repair Café

What we find interesting: In the Netherlands, we produce more than 23 kilos of electronic waste per person annually. Unfortunately, only a small portion of this is recycled properly, which leads to a waste of valuable materials and environmental damage.

Many of these devices and items can simply be repaired. At a Repair Café, volunteers help you fix your broken items. Besides electronics, you can also repair bicycles, furniture, clothing, and many other items.

• At a Repair Café, you learn how to make minor repairs yourself. They also have handy repair manuals on their website that you can use right away. Repairs can be expensive, but at the Repair Café, you get help from volunteers, keeping costs to a minimum. This way, you prevent your belongings from ending up in the trash and give them a second life, without it costing you much.
