Make your garden, balcony or neighborhood a paradise for butterflies and bees

Nearly 80% of our plants depend on bees and butterflies, but many species are threatened with extinction. Help them with more flowers and greenery.

Description

What we find interesting: Almost 80% of plants in the Netherlands depend on pollinators such as bees and butterflies. And these indispensable animals are in dire straits. The Netherlands has approximately 360 species of wild bees, but many are on the red list of critically endangered species and are at risk of extinction.

3 more reasons to turn your garden, balcony, or neighborhood into a pollinator paradise:
  • More than 75% of our fruits and vegetables depend on pollinators, including bees. Without pollinating insects, the global food supply is at risk.
  • More than half of Dutch bee species are endangered.
  • Create more green space in your neighborhood! All gardens in the Netherlands together are more than 10 times the size of the Veluwe. Everyone with a garden is therefore also a nature manager.
