Participate in the Dutch National Tile Flipping Championship (NK tegelwippen)

Replace a garden tile with greenery and help reduce flooding and heat. One simple step for a climate-resilient garden.

Description

What we find interesting: Remove a paving stone from your garden and replace it with greenery! It not only makes your garden more beautiful, but also helps prevent flooding and heat stress. With one simple action, you contribute to a living environment that is more resilient to extreme weather conditions.

3 more reasons to remove a paving stone:
  • Improved drainage: Replacing paving stones with greenery allows rainwater to seep into the ground. This prevents sewer overload and reduces the risk of odors in your street and flooding.
  • Increased biodiversity: Greenery in your garden attracts butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects, contributing to a healthier ecosystem.
  • Positive impact on your health: Research shows that a green environment reduces stress and improves your mental health.
