Blije Buren: An inititieve which fights loneliness and foster a sense of community Every day, Blije Buren provides free food to more than 80 people. They collect the food at Supermarkets, check it amd bring it to people who need it most. Blije Buren aims to support others – selflessly – and, as a result, help them overcome social isolation. By understanding differences and strengthening similarities, people grow closer to one another and become… Happy Neighbours!

Why do we like this? Blije Buren helps people overcome isolation and brings the neighbourhood closer together. An added benefit is that it also helps reduce food waste.
