Description
Neighbourhood Composting Amsterdam: composting close to home
This map shows all the locations in Amsterdam where you can hand in your fruit, vegetable and garden waste. The waste is composted locally, often by neighbourhood initiatives or urban farming projects. This gives your organic waste a second life as nourishment for soil and plants, instead of ending up in an incinerator. It’s an easy way to reduce waste and contribute to a circular city.

Why do we like this? Because with one small action, dropping off a container of organic waste, you make a direct impact: less residual waste, lower CO₂ emissions, and rich compost for green spaces in the city.
