De Groene Kans: Combating Food Waste
The Green Opportunity collects leftover vegetables, fruit, and bread from shops and supermarkets and distributes them weekly to residents. Everyone is welcome, with no registration or checks required. There are several distribution points in Amsterdam – check the website for a location near you.
Why do we like it? Because the Green Opportunity gives food that would otherwise be thrown away a second life, and everyone can participate.
