De Sering
Plant-based community kitchen, cultural events, and shared space where solidarity, community, and affordable food are central.
Description
De Sering: where food, action, and community converge
De Sering is a public space in Amsterdam-Sloterdijk where you can enjoy affordable plant-based meals in the Volkskeuken (People's Kitchen), participate in workshops or attend events, and volunteer. Everyone is welcome. The goal is to bring people together, combat social exclusion, and contribute to a sustainable, inclusive society.
Why do we like it? Because De Sering shows that sustainable food can also be affordable and social. Everything is plant-based, locally sourced where possible, and made with an eye for reuse and food waste. At the same time, it's a place where people can meet and collaborate on change in an accessible way.
