Foodcoop Noord

FoodCoopNoord: organic food, together and fair FoodCoopNoord is a non-profit association in Amsterdam-Noord. Members order fresh, seasonal and organic products every week, which are collectively purchased directly from local farmers. This way, the farmer receives a fair price and members get more value for their money. The cooperative is run entirely by volunteers: each member helps out four times a year during the Wednesday afternoon distribution.



Why do we like it? Because organisations here don't wait for regulations or subsidies, but take the initiative themselves to collectively generate green energy for their own community.
