Helen's Free Food Market: Sharing Food, Stopping Waste
Every Tuesday, a team of volunteers in Amsterdam-Noord collects food from supermarkets, bakeries, and wholesalers. Anything that's still good but would otherwise be thrown away is distributed free of charge to households in need. You can contribute by donating food, volunteering, or making your surplus food available as a business.
Why do we like this? Because good food doesn't go to waste and goes directly to people in the neighborhood.
