Description
Javanese Trash Tigers – Clean-ups on Java Island with a smile
The Javanese Trash Tigers are a group of residents of Java Island in Amsterdam East who collectively clean up litter in their neighborhood.
They organize monthly clean-ups and show that cleaning up can be fun and socializing. With grabbers, garbage bags, and a positive atmosphere, they make Java Island a little cleaner – and the enthusiasm is infectious.
Everyone is welcome to join, even if it's just for an hour.

Why do we like it? Because the Javanese Trash Tigers show that cleaning doesn't have to be boring. You get to enjoy the outdoors, get to know your neighbors better, and see immediate results. You contribute to the neighborhood you love living in.
