KIEM: a green learning space for young explorers
KIEM is located in the park area next to the Erasmuspark in Amsterdam-West. It offers educational programmes for children and adults: discover how water and wind power work, how to compost vegetables, and which plants are edible. There’s a workshop club and a parent-child green café, where you can even pedal your own smoothie using the “shake bike”.
Why do we like this? Because this place shows that learning about nature and sustainability doesn’t have to be dull, it can be creative, hands-on, and for everyone.
