NatuurWijs: learning outdoors, close to nature
Stichting NatuurWijs offers nature education for primary schools: with qualified “NatuurWijzers,” classes go to the forest, dunes, or heath to experience nature with all their senses. Children learn about plants, animals, and ecosystems by observing, smelling, touching, and investigating. NatuurWijs aims for all children to develop a bond with nature.
Why do we like this? Because it lets children explore outdoors, sparks curiosity, and fosters respect for nature and the environment, exactly how green education should be.
