The caring force behind our neighbourhood initiative
On the corner of Jan Tooropstraat, overlooking the City Greenhouse and the vegetable garden beds, you’ll find the Huiskamer (Living Room). It’s a place where people can come together and where everyone is welcome. Every week, we organise fun and interesting activities for people from the neighbourhood.
Here, the community room, gardens and City Greenhouse come together to create a unique and welcoming place with one simple goal: to give everyone in the neighbourhood the opportunity to meet, learn and thrive as a person.
Our Tantes are here for you and are happy to welcome you.
We are open on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 to 17:00, serving delicious coffee, homemade cake, fresh sandwiches and good conversation.
Why do we like it? Tante Toorop is special because it is much more than a community room: it is a meeting place where local residents come together, organise activities and learn from one another. Tante Toorop brings people together.
