De Eester Tool Library – Borrow the right tools together
At De Eester Tool Library, local residents can easily borrow tools: from drills to saws and much more. Why buy things you'll only use a few times? By sharing, we save resources, space, and money, and you meet new people. The loan is part of De Eester, the neighborhood cooperative of and for residents of the Oostelijk Havengebied (Eastern Docklands) and is located in the Meevaart, run by and for local residents.
Why do we like it? A shed full of stuff isn't necessary if you have neighbors willing to share. De Eester shows how smart and sustainable a simple idea can be: less possessions and more contact with your neighbors – and always the right tools nearby.
