VBAZO: food forest
In Amsterdam Zuidoost, public green spaces are being transformed into a food forest where you can pick fruit, nuts, and wild plants and participate.
Description
VBAZO: Urban Food Forest in the Bijlmer
VBAZO is a large-scale food forest project in the K-buurt neighborhood of Amsterdam Zuidoost. The goal: to transform existing public green spaces into healthy, edible, and biodiverse ecosystems. Residents can participate in harvesting fruit, nuts, wild edible plants, and flowers. Or learn how soil, insects, birds, and plants work together. The food forest connects various green spaces and enhances the natural value and quality of life in the neighborhood.

Why do we like it? Because by participating, you become part of a green transformation in your own city.
