Wij Zijn Deel Dijkrijders – Driving electric together with your neighbors
A neighborhood cooperative of residents on and around Nieuwendammerdijk and Schellingwouderdijk in Amsterdam-Noord: they share five electric lease cars with dedicated parking spaces. The concept launched in early 2025 in collaboration with Wij Zijn Deel.
Why do we like this? We think it's great that neighbors are making the switch to electric driving together. Instead of each having their own car, they now share a few electric cars that are always parked nearby. This not only saves costs, but also reduces parking pressure and emissions. It makes the neighborhood greener and more welcoming, because you get to know each other better and share responsibility.
