Celebration marking the redevelopment of the Frans Hals neighbourhood & launch of the Sight and Sound Tour

On Sunday 4 October 2026, the redevelopment of the Frans Halsbuurt will be celebrated from 3.00 pm to 6.30 pm. At the same time, the new sight and sound tour of the neighbourhood will be launched, featuring 33 information panels offering a historical insight into the Frans Halsbuurt and residents’ stories about events from the past. In December, the photo book ‘From milkman to oat milk: 150 years of the Frans Halsbuurt’ will be published; residents can order it free of charge via the new neighbourhood website, franshalsbuurt.nl, and it will be available at a reasonable price from local shops.
