City Clean Up
Description
Will you join us for the annual The Green Mile Cleanup? On Friday, September 11, 2026, we’ll once again roll up our sleeves together during our annual “The Green Mile Cleanup.” It’s a morning when residents, businesses, partners and local enthusiasts come together to show that a pleasant street doesn’t happen by itself. With a litter picker in hand, a smile on our faces and a little bit of time, we can make a visible difference for people, plants and animals.
At the end, we’ll gather all the litter at Hemonyplein, count and weigh what we’ve collected, and give everything a final destination in the underground waste containers. Besides cleaning up, it’s also a great opportunity to meet one another, catch up and do something positive for our neighborhood together.
We’ll provide the materials, coffee, snacks and good vibes. All you need to bring is a dose of positive energy. Every piece of litter counts, and together we can make a surprisingly big difference in a short amount of time.
Start: 10:00 AM at the Rijksmuseum gardens, under the shade canopy at the rear.
End: around 11:30 AM at De Nederlandsche Bank, on the jetty next to our EcoWallen, weather permitting.
Together, we can make the city a little more beautiful again.
Cost: Free.
Who can join: Everyone.
