De Standaard DIY bike workshop is an accessible community bike kitchen at De Ceuvel where, on Friday 16 October 2026 from 12:00 to 18:00, you can learn how to repair and maintain your own bike with the help of an experienced bike mechanic. Entry to the workshop is free, but please register in advance using the registration form so they know how many people are coming. The venue is the Maakbar on Ceuvel Square (outdoors, under cover). Use of the space, tools and guidance is free; donations are welcome. Recycled parts are available on a donation basis; you’ll need to pay for any additional parts yourself. De Standaard focuses on repairs and maintenance, and you can hang up your bike and tinker with it yourself using basic tools. Do come along even if you’re not very handy, as you’ll receive guidance.
