De Standaard DIY bike workshop is an accessible community bike kitchen at De Ceuvel where, every Friday in August, September, October and November 2026 from 12:00 to 18:00, you can learn how to repair and maintain your own bike with the help of an experienced bike mechanic. The workshop is located in the Maakbar on Ceuvel Square (outdoors, under cover). Entry is free, but please register via the form at https://forms.gle/VnTYpLJnU6yHz4N3A so we know how many people are coming. Use of the space, tools and guidance is free; donations are welcome. There is a selection of second-hand parts available on a donation basis; you pay for any additional parts yourself. De Standaard focuses on repairs and maintenance, and is a place where sustainability, social interaction and self-reliance take centre stage.
