De Standaard DIY bike workshop is an accessible community bike kitchen at De Ceuvel where, every Friday in August, September, October and November 2026 from 12:00 to 18:00, you can learn how to repair and maintain your own bike with the help of an experienced bike mechanic. Entry to the workshop is free, but please register via the registration form at https://forms.gle/VnTYpLJnU6yHz4N3A so that the organisers know how many people are coming. Use of the space, tools and guidance is free; donations are welcome. The venue is the Maakbar on Ceuvelplein (outdoors, under cover). De Standaard focuses on repairs and maintenance, and offers a space where sustainability, social interaction and self-reliance take centre stage. Do pop along and learn how to tinker with your bike – even if you’re not particularly handy, as guidance will be on hand.
