Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week – 7 to 11 October 2026

Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week will take place from 7 to 11 October 2026; it is a week dedicated to highlighting sustainable fashion developments in the Netherlands and beyond. DSFW aims to showcase the most unique and cutting-edge developments in sustainable fashion. Unlike mainstream Fashion Weeks, the focus is not on showcasing the latest fashion trends. Instead, it aims to inspire and encourage consumers to make sustainable choices. It shares knowledge and tips on how to make your clothes last longer. It is a creative community platform where everyone can make a valuable contribution to helping others feel that sustainable fashion is accessible and relevant to them. Under the theme ‘Back to the Future’, this year’s DSFW brings together two sides of the fashion industry. On the one hand, everything that already exists – clothing, materials and waste streams – and the creative ways in which we can preserve their value through, amongst other things, reuse, repair, upcycling and resale. On the other hand, the new generation of fashion: from material innovation and bio-design to digital fashion and regenerative production. It is precisely the combination of the existing and the new that shows how fashion can truly move forward. ‘Back to the Future’ demonstrates that the future of fashion stems both from reusing and re-evaluating what already exists, and from developing new technologies and materials. DSFW brings these worlds together and provides a platform for the creators, ideas and innovations of the next generation.
