Description
The Amsterdam Neighbourhood Film Festival is coming to Cinetol with a special edition packed with films and stories from the neighbourhood. Watch documentaries, meet filmmakers and local residents, and enjoy films, music and poetry. The festival brings together filmmakers, visitors and local residents to share stories from their own neighbourhoods, with a focus on films and stories from Amsterdam-Zuid. The programme includes Stadsdorp de Pijp, a documentary by local resident Simon Bunt, which shows how people in De Pijp enjoy growing old together in a fun way and look after one another through good neighbourliness. There will also be other documentaries and an award-winning AI animation on show. Alongside the films, there will be opportunities for discussions and performances featuring music and poetry. The afternoon will be opened by Kibret Mekonnen, founder and artistic director of the ABFF. Programme: 14:00–15:00 film screenings, 15:00–15:20 Q&A with filmmakers and post-screening discussion, 15:20–15:40 solo entertainment. Cost: free. Target audience: everyone.
