Free trees for Amsterdam
Description
On Saturday, 7 November 2026, thousands of young trees will once again be handed out at Tolhuistuin (Tolhuisweg 3).
You can choose from two species: Wild Apple and Cornelian Cherry. Both are great for biodiversity, require little maintenance, and also grow well in a pot (great if you don’t have a garden).
Bonus: when you collect your tree, you’ll draw a ticket. If there’s a grape on it, you can also take a grapevine home. A prize draw takes place during every time slot, so everyone has an equal chance!
