from wool to blanket

Artist Julina Vanille Bezold is collaborating with Voedselpark Amsterdam on a long-term art project centred on wool, plants, textiles and local ecology. The project explores how local wool, plants and textile crafts can contribute to new forms of community in Nieuw-West. Over the coming months, you can follow the journey of the wool: from sheep to a growing neighbourhood blanket. Using wool from sheep in Oud Osdorp and natural dyes from plants growing in and around the Voedselpark, you’ll weave a collaborative textile piece step by step — shaped by many hands, stories and encounters. You’re warmly invited to join in. Whether you’re curious about weaving, ecology or craftsmanship, or simply fancy spending an afternoon creating something beautiful together: everyone is welcome. No experience is needed, just curiosity and a desire to create together.
