Global Climathon Days – 12 to 18 October 2026

The Global Climathon Days are a global event taking place from 12 to 18 October 2026. During this international week of action, residents, students, entrepreneurs, public authorities and civil society organisations will work together to develop innovative solutions to local climate challenges. Events are organised in dozens of countries, where participants develop ideas around themes such as sustainable energy, the circular economy, climate adaptation, biodiversity and green mobility. The initiative was set up by Climate KIC and aims to accelerate local climate action by encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing. Participants often work in teams on specific issues from their own region and present their proposals to experts, policymakers and other stakeholders. By linking local challenges to a global network of climate innovators, the Global Climathon Days provide an important platform for sustainable change and civic engagement.
