International Day of Clean Air – 7 September 2026

International Day of Clean Air, held annually on 7 September, is a global initiative launched by the United Nations in 2019 to raise awareness of air pollution and the need for action. On this day, campaigns, workshops, conferences and awareness-raising activities are organised worldwide, urging policymakers to adopt stricter environmental measures and sustainable solutions. The theme centres on cooperation and responsibility, and everyone can contribute to cleaner air by, for example, driving less, saving energy and planting trees.
