Minicourse Moths
Description
Together with the Amstelglorie Academy, the nature society KNNV-Amsterdam is organizing a mini-course on moths.
Moths, those insignificant, dull brownish-grey little creatures? This evening, you’ll discover that when it comes to colour, patterns and shapes, moths are absolutely no less impressive than butterflies. The evening starts with a presentation by Edo Goverse, our moth expert.
Topics covered will include species groups, ecological significance and behaviour. After the presentation, we’ll set off on an exciting walk through the dark Amstelglorie, heading out in search of the moths themselves. Will we spot the Large Yellow Underwing or one of the beautiful gold-spots on the illuminated sheet? And perhaps one of the ‘Tigers’ at the sugar bait? Come and join us!
