Top from the Bottom – 18 November 2026

‘Top van Onderop’ on 18 November 2026 is a Dutch event at which people from the worlds of policy, academia, business and civil society organisations will come together to discuss major societal and sustainability transitions. The idea behind the event is that change is not only driven ‘from the top down’, but also arises from initiatives at local and regional level – in other words, ‘from the bottom up’. During the event, examples will be shared of projects and initiatives that demonstrate how collaboration in the workplace, in neighbourhoods and within organisations can help accelerate the energy transition, the circular economy and social innovation. It is therefore primarily a meeting place to exchange knowledge and highlight practical solutions that are already working in practice. The Bottom-Up Summit is free to attend and open to anyone working towards a sustainable future.
