Weaving a flower-covered climbing tower from willow – 8 August

On Saturday 8 August 2026, from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm, a willow weaving workshop will take place at Tuinpark de Molen in Amsterdam-Noord. The willow weaver – Daan Goppel – will teach you how to weave a climbing frame from willow twigs on which flowers can grow. You’ll take your own climbing frame home with you and receive seeds for edible flowers. The workshop is free, but registration is required due to limited space. A voluntary contribution to the Fonds voor Noord is appreciated. The venue is Tuinpark de Molen, Buitengouw 20, Amsterdam-Noord. You can register via a Google form or by emailing wilgenvlechter@gmail.com. No prior experience of willow weaving is required, and all materials will be provided.
