Willibrordus Neighbourhood Clean-up Campaign
Description
On Saturday 10 October, we’ll be holding our big community clean-up of the Willibrordus neighbourhood again, from 3 pm to 5 pm, followed by drinks. We’ll meet by the bins on Rustenburgerdwarsstraat. Please bring your own equipment (litter picker, grabber, etc.) and bin bags where possible. Bram also has equipment available to borrow from the Schone Pijp working group. We’ll round off the event with a cosy get-together. Over the past few weeks, this group has been taking part in the ‘Clean Pijp’ competition (from 31 August to 7 October). Not just a small stretch of street, but rather ambitiously: the entire Willibrordus neighbourhood. Officially, that neighbourhood is bounded by the Ceintuurbaan, the Tolstraat, the Van Woustraat and the Amsteldijk, but we’ve stretched it a bit further to include the Lutmastraat. That went remarkably well, and we’ve got a real taste for it now, so we’re keen to carry on. The group works together every two months, and in between, we work individually once or twice a week in designated parts of the neighbourhood. We communicate via Signal. You’re welcome to join the group if you’d like to help out more often! Ask about it on Saturday or send a message to Bram.10 via Signal. Cost: Free. Target group: Everyone. Location: The bins halfway down Rustenburgerdwarsstraat. Contact: bram@bos.nl.
