Fruittuin van West: Pioneering in the Polder
At this farm, you can pick your own fruit from the orchard and vegetable garden. There's a garden café where you can enjoy local, plant-based food. Workshops are offered, and there's a shop with organic products. Children can come along to visit the animals, you can pick fruit, and you can also hold celebrations or meetings here.
Why do we like it? Because you don't just pick fruit here, you also learn where your food comes from. The farm is completely biodynamic, the animals are fed waste from the city, and the café cooks with what the land provides at the time. Everything is designed to bring the city and food production closer together.
